The London Borough of Sutton is a London borough in South West London, England and forms part of Outer London. It covers an area of 43 km2 (17 sq mi) and is the 80th largest local authority in England by population. It is one of the southernmost boroughs of London. It is south of the London Borough of Merton, west of the London Borough of Croydon and east of the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. The local authority is Sutton London Borough Council. Its principal town is the eponymous Sutton.

Social Prescribing in Sutton

Sutton Uplift has been delivering both IAPT and Wellbeing services in Sutton since 2016.

The Wellbeing service is delivered by a collaboration of voluntary sector and mental health providers to provide one-to-one coaching, delivering wellbeing focused workshops  and connecting with community activities.

Wellbeing support helps people to connect and access activities and resources to meet their physical, social and emotional needs. The service accepts self-referrals as well as referrals from professionals.

Demographics

The proportion of Black, Asian and ethnic minorities in general living in the borough has almost doubled each decade since 1991: the 2011 UK Census recorded the total non-White population at 19.9% and the total White population at 80.1%.
